Three ounces shy...

I took a couple from San Antonio out yesterday and today for guided bluegill fishing. My high-dollar scale was not working yesterday, so we didn’t get weights, but we had a male northern that would’ve pushed 1.5 pounds, a male coppernose that would’ve gone between 1.5 and 1.75 pounds, and another male coppernose that would’ve gone between 1.75 and two pounds. We didn’t catch any giant coppernose today, but the lady did catch one pretty decent northern female, and we had a new scale with us and got it weighed.

2 lbs. 14 oz. Two ounces shy of tying the state record, three shy of breaking it.
